Selkirk Stump Grinding ("we," "us") is a family-owned stump grinding business in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and when you contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Quote details you give us: your name, phone number, email address (optional), the address of the job, and details about your stumps, like how many there are, their size, gate access and surface roots.
- Photos and messages: anything you send us by text or email, such as photos of your stumps.
- Job and payment records: the work we did, what you paid and how. Card and electronic payments are handled by the payment provider; we don't store full card numbers.
- Basic technical information: like any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address and browser details when you load a page. We don't use advertising trackers or sell this information.
How we use it
- To prepare your quote, schedule the work and do the job.
- To call, text or email you about your quote or job, including letting you know when we're on the way and when we're done.
- To send invoices and receipts and keep business and tax records.
- To improve our service and, now and then, to ask for a review after a job.
Text messages
If you give us your phone number, we may text you about your quote and job. These are service messages, not marketing blasts. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop texts, or HELP for help. We won't share your phone number or text messaging consent with third parties for their marketing.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your information. We share it only with the services we use to run the business, and only as needed:
- Jobber, the software we use to keep client records, quotes, schedules and invoices.
- Our email, phone and text messaging providers, our website host and our payment processor.
- Utility locate services (811), which receive the job address so buried lines can be marked.
- Anyone we're required to share with by law.
Photos of our work
We sometimes take before-and-after photos of a job and may share them on our website or social media. We never include your name or street address. If you'd rather we didn't use photos of your property, just tell us.
How long we keep it
We keep client and job records for as long as you're a client and as long as needed for tax and business records, generally up to seven years. Quote requests that don't turn into a job are deleted within two years.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we have about you, or to stop contacting you. Email selkirkstumpgrinding@gmail.com or call or text (817) 243-7977. We may need to keep some records the law requires us to keep.
Security
This site loads over a secure (HTTPS) connection, and the services we use protect your information with industry-standard security. No system is perfect, so please don't send sensitive information like full card numbers by text or email.
Children
Our services are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
